Ukraine was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on. UA:PBC confirmed on 16 February 2022 that Pash would not represent Ukraine following controversy regarding her travel history to the territory of Crimea, and announced the national final runner-up, "Stefania" performed by Kalush Orchestra, as the Ukrainian entry on 22 February 2022. Eight entries competed in the national selection held on 12 February 2022 and " Tini zabutykh predkiv" performed by Alina Pash was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a three-member jury panel and a public televote. The Ukrainian broadcaster Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine (UA:PBC) organised a national final in order to select the Ukrainian entry for the 2022 contest. Ukraine participated in and won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, with the song " Stefania" performed by the group Kalush Orchestra.
